Armen Martirosyan 
Finance Manager

Mr. Martirosyan has over 14 years' experience in the finance and economics sectors, of which 4 years have been specific to the mining industry. He previously worked for 7 years with Grant Thornton becoming an auditor and was the Finance Manager of Deno Gold Mining Company for 2 years. Mr. Martirosyan is member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

 

Armen Stepanyan 
Director, Sustainability and Communications

BE Chemical Engineering, ME Environmental Engineering, PhD (geo-ecology), MBA (major/finance). Dr. Stepanyan has 16 years of experience in environmental studies and 6 years as a researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. He was head of the central analytic laboratory of the Center for Ecological and Noosphere Studies of Armenia, participating in environmental projects funded by CRDF and NATO. He has worked as a water quality expert for UNDP-SIDA funded project, and also as Senior Specialist-State Inspector on Radioactive Waste Management at the Armenian Nuclear Regulatory Authority. Dr. Stepanyan has 9 published scientific articles and 3 patents.

 

Anna Saghabalyan 
Director, Sustainability and Communications

Master of Science in Corporate Communications (Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Netherlands), MA in Linguistics (Yerevan State Linguistics University). Ms. Saghabalyan has more than 16 years of experience in Journalism and Public Relations. Prior to joining Lydian Armenia, Ms. Saghabalyan was with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Yerevan and Prague for 10 years and served as the Director of Communications at Civilitas Foundation for three years, as well as Chair of the Board. She has extensive experience in local and international news and analyses as a journalist, reporter and editor of RFE/RL Armenian Service youth program. In 2014, she received and MSc degree from Rotterdam School of Management. Her Master’s thesis on Environmental NGOs in post-communist countries won Shell Netherland’s award for outstanding research.

 

Nara Ghazaryan 
Social Development Manager

Master of Science, Public Administration & Management, New York University; Master of Arts, Diploma of Honour, English and French, Yerevan State University of Linguistics; Moscow State Institute of Languages, Spanish. Worked as an independent Evaluation consultant in Afghanistan; has 15 years of experience as a Social Sector Advisor & Program Management Specialist with the United States Agency for International Development in Armenia, designing, monitoring and evaluation of over US$150M programs in the areas of humanitarian and development assistance, community development, rural infrastructure, health, water/sanitation, income generation; child protection and social inclusion, mine-clearance, disability and integration, gender, earthquake zone recovery, shelter, etc.

 

Argam Snkhchyan 
Chief Geologist, BS, MS in Regional and Historical geology

Mr. Snkhchyan has 12 years’ experience in geology and 6 years as a junior researcher at the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Armenia. In the same period he actively participated in the geological exploration and survey of mines of gold and other metals, as well as the studies on distribution specifics. Mr. Snkhchyan has published several scientific articles.
