Gordon Wylie

A geologist by training, Mr. Wylie has over 35 years’ experience in mining and exploration geology, including eight years in AngloGold Ashanti’s senior management team where he was responsible for global exploration projects. While with AngloGold Ashanti, he developed the company’s “New Frontiers Strategy”, moving the company into highly prospective but poorly prospected higher risk regions such as DRC, Colombia, China and Laos. In addition to Lydian, he currently serves on the board of Avocet Mining PLC.

President and Chief Executive Officer, Lydian International

Mr. Carrêlo is a senior mining executive with over 34 years of international experience in the mining and resource sectors. His experience includes the management of underground and open pit projects and operations, with exposure to precious and base metals, coal and industrial minerals in Latin America, Europe, India, and Africa. Mr. Carrêlo previously served as President, CEO and Director of Eco Oro Minerals Corp. from 2012 to 2014, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Lundin Mining Corporation from 2007 to 2012. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of TMAC Resources and Lucky Minerals. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Hons.) in Mining Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon-Tyne (U.K.) and a Master of Business Administration degree from the European Management School (U.K.)

Bill Abel

Mr Abel has over 40 years’ experience in the industry as a Professional Mining Engineer, most recently having worked as an executive for Anglo American and BHP Iron Ore.  He has extensive experience in gold, coal, platinum, copper, diamonds, phosphates and iron ore, both in surface and underground operations.  He has focused on project development and implementation, specializing in all operational and technical aspects of mining.

Mr. Altmann is a Managing Director with Morrison Park Advisors, an independent investment bank specializing in merger & acquisition advisory services. Prior to assuming this position in January 2012, he was President and a Director of a TSX listed silver & gold mining company, which he joined in January 2007. Prior to this, Mr. Altmann worked as an investment banker providing financial and strategic advice to a large selection of domestic and international public companies at firms such as RBC Dominion Securities, Credit Suisse First Boston, Scotia Capital and, most recently, at Desjardins Securities as head of its mining team. He also worked as a geophysicist prior to his investment banking career.

Mr. Ball is a former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Goldcorp Inc. and Newmont Mining Corporation. He joined Goldcorp in May 2013 as Executive Vice President of Projects and Capital Management and in December 2014 was appointed Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Capital Projects. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development from March 2016 to October 2017. Prior to joining Goldcorp, Mr. Ball served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Newmont Mining Corporation. Over his nineteen years with Newmont, Mr. Ball worked in audit, finance, treasury, operations/projects and investor relations before joining the executive team as Chief Financial Officer in 2007. Prior to Newmont, Mr. Ball was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Durban, South Africa. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of South Africa and as a Certified Public Accountant (Colorado). Mr. Ball currently serves on the Boards of Trevali Corporation (TSX: TV), Columbus Gold Corporation (TSX: CGT) and Allegiant Gold Limited (TSX.V: AUAU).

Gillian Davidson

Dr Davidson was the Head of Mining & Metals for the World Economic Forum through 2016, where she led global and regional engagement and multi-stakeholder initiatives to advance responsible and sustainable mining. Prior to the Forum, she was Director of Social Responsibility at Teck Resources, supporting social and environmental commitments and performance across the mining lifecycle, and held roles related to community development, environment and natural resources in government, civil society and academia. Dr Davidson is a 2012 alumni of the Governor General of Canada’s Leadership Conference on sustainable communities and holds a PhD in Development Economics and Geography from the University of Liverpool (UK).

Mr. Parrill holds the position of senior associate with Resource Capital Fund VI L.P. (RCF), a private equity firm established in 1998 with a mining sector specific investment mandate. Since joining RCF in 2008, Mr. Parrill has worked in Australia, Canada and Denver managing mining-related investments in the following sectors: mining innovation, drilling services, industrial minerals, gold, base metals and metallurgical coal. Prior to joining RCF, Mr. Parrill held positions within both engineering and operations at Lafarge North America and was an engineer on a tunnel boring project in Southern California. He holds an M.S. degree in Mineral Economics and a B.S. degree in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Tim Read

Tim Read has over forty years’ experience in the mining and metals sector, first as a mining analyst, then as an investment banker and, most recently, as a corporate executive and director. Between 1995 and 1999, he was Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Mining and Metals Investment Banking for Merrill Lynch Inc. and, accordingly has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate finance, particularly M&A and equity capital markets. Between 1999 and 2006, he was the chief executive of Adastra Minerals Inc (acquired by First Quantum Minerals in 2006) and since then has acted as a non-executive director for a number of natural resource companies including Cumerio SA (Brussels Bourse) (acquired by Norddeutsche Affinerie in 2008), Kopane Diamond Developments (Aim) (until December 2009), Starfield Resources Inc (TSX) (until July 2011), Capital Drilling Limited (LSE), Metminco Limited (ASX/Aim) and Faroe Petroleum plc (Aim). Tim, who was shortlisted in 2011 for the award of Non-Executive Director of the Year, has a BA (Economics) from the University of Strathclyde and in 2000 was appointed as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.

Since 2014, Mr. Stubbs has held the position of Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Co., a world-wide management consulting firm. Prior to 2014, Mr. Stubbs held the position of VP-Projects at BHP Billiton (BHP). Prior to joining BHP he spent thirty-one years with Shell and three years with British Gas managing mega projects in Nigeria, Australia, Egypt, Thailand, Kazakhstan and the UK. Mr. Stubbs is a member of the Board of Directors of Alloycorp Mining Inc. and IC Potash Corp.
